STANDING ORDER
To
All Rent Controllers,
Subject: The business of a real estate agent by real estate agents under the Tamil Nadu Housing Board Act, 1961, regarding.
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Tamil Nadu Housing Board Act, 1961 (Tamil Nadu Act 17 of 1961), the Housing Department, Government of Tamil Nadu hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:
1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the business of a real estate agent by real estate agents.
2. The matter has been examined. Every real estate agent carrying on the business of a real estate agent shall make an application in Form A to the Rent Controller within ninety days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.
3. The Rent Controller shall ensure that apartment is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Rent Controller within ninety days.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Housing Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
