OFFICE MEMORANDUM
Subject: The generation of electricity by generating companies under the Gujarat Electricity Industry (Reorganisation and Regulation) Act, 2003, regarding.
1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Labour Department, Government of Gujarat on the manner in which the generation of electricity by generating companies is to be regulated under the Gujarat Electricity Industry (Reorganisation and Regulation) Act, 2003.
2. The matter has been examined. Every generating company carrying on the generation of electricity shall make an application in Form I to the Appropriate Commission within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of ten thousand rupees.
3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the generation of electricity is undertaken, and the Appropriate Commission shall dispose of it within sixty days of its receipt.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Labour Department, Government of Gujarat.
