STANDING ORDER

To

All District Collectors,

Subject: The storage of relief materials by suppliers of relief materials under the Uttar Pradesh Fire Prevention and Fire Safety Act, 2005, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Uttar Pradesh Fire Prevention and Fire Safety Act, 2005 (Uttar Pradesh Act 9 of 2005), the Consumer Affairs Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the storage of relief materials by suppliers of relief materials.

2. The matter has been examined. Every supplier of relief materials carrying on the storage of relief materials shall make an application in Form A to the District Authority within twenty-four hours, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees.

3. The District Collector shall ensure that plan is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the District Authority within twenty-four hours.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Consumer Affairs Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh.
