OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The exhibition of films by exhibitors under the Tamil Nadu Exhibition of Films on Television Screen through Video Cassette Recorders (Regulation) Act, 1984, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Information and Public Relations Department, Government of Tamil Nadu on the manner in which the exhibition of films by exhibitors is to be regulated under the Tamil Nadu Exhibition of Films on Television Screen through Video Cassette Recorders (Regulation) Act, 1984.

2. The matter has been examined. Every exhibitor carrying on the exhibition of films shall make an application in Form I to the Press Registrar within ninety days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the exhibition of films is undertaken, and the Press Registrar shall dispose of it within ninety days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Information and Public Relations Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
