OFFICE MEMORANDUM
Subject: The handling of sensitive personal data by body corporates under the Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Online Gambling and Regulation of Online Games Act, 2022, regarding.
1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Information Technology Department, Government of Tamil Nadu on the manner in which the handling of sensitive personal data by body corporates is to be regulated under the Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Online Gambling and Regulation of Online Games Act, 2022.
2. The matter has been examined. Every body corporate carrying on the handling of sensitive personal data shall make an application in Form A to the Government of Tamil Nadu within seventy-two hours, accompanied by a fee of five thousand rupees.
3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the handling of sensitive personal data is undertaken, and the Government of Tamil Nadu shall dispose of it within seventy-two hours of its receipt.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Information Technology Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
