STANDING ORDER

To

All Tahsildars,

Subject: The holding of land by landholders under the Delhi Land Reforms Act, 1954, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Delhi Land Reforms Act, 1954 (Delhi Act 8 of 1954), the Law Department, Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the holding of land by landholders.

2. The matter has been examined. Every landholder carrying on the holding of land shall make an application in Form 12 to the Collector within ninety days, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees.

3. The Tahsildar shall ensure that mutation is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Collector within ninety days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Law Department, Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi.
