STANDING ORDER

To

All Executive Engineers,

Subject: The use of water for industry by users of water for industry under the Kerala Ground Water (Control and Regulation) Act, 2002, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Kerala Ground Water (Control and Regulation) Act, 2002 (Kerala Act 19 of 2002), the General Administration Department, Government of Kerala hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the use of water for industry by users of water for industry.

2. The matter has been examined. Every user of water for industry carrying on the use of water for industry shall make an application in Form C to the Tribunal within ninety days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.

3. The Executive Engineer shall ensure that dispute is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Tribunal within ninety days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the General Administration Department, Government of Kerala.
