STANDING ORDER

To

All Directors,

Subject: The organisation of sport by sports bodies under the Goa, Daman and Diu Public Gambling Act, 1976, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Goa, Daman and Diu Public Gambling Act, 1976 (Goa Act 14 of 1976), the Water Resources Department, Government of Goa hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the organisation of sport by sports bodies.

2. The matter has been examined. Every sports body carrying on the organisation of sport shall make an application in Form B to the Government of Goa within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of twenty-five thousand rupees.

3. The Director shall ensure that federation is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Government of Goa within thirty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Water Resources Department, Government of Goa.
