OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The use of water for industry by users of water for industry under the Kerala Irrigation and Water Conservation Act, 2003, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Information and Public Relations Department, Government of Kerala on the manner in which the use of water for industry by users of water for industry is to be regulated under the Kerala Irrigation and Water Conservation Act, 2003.

2. The matter has been examined. Every user of water for industry carrying on the use of water for industry shall make an application in Form C to the Government of Kerala within ninety days, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the use of water for industry is undertaken, and the Government of Kerala shall dispose of it within ninety days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Information and Public Relations Department, Government of Kerala.
