OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The operation of a vessel by owners of a vessel under the Gujarat Maritime Board Act, 1981, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Women and Child Development Department, Government of Gujarat on the manner in which the operation of a vessel by owners of a vessel is to be regulated under the Gujarat Maritime Board Act, 1981.

2. The matter has been examined. Every owner of a vessel carrying on the operation of a vessel shall make an application in Form 1 to the Director-General within seven days, accompanied by a fee of ten thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the operation of a vessel is undertaken, and the Director-General shall dispose of it within seven days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Women and Child Development Department, Government of Gujarat.
