OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The distribution of food by distributors under the Karnataka Prevention of Cow Slaughter and Cattle Preservation Act, 2021, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Food and Civil Supplies Department, Government of Karnataka on the manner in which the distribution of food by distributors is to be regulated under the Karnataka Prevention of Cow Slaughter and Cattle Preservation Act, 2021.

2. The matter has been examined. Every distributor carrying on the distribution of food shall make an application in Form A to the Designated Officer within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the distribution of food is undertaken, and the Designated Officer shall dispose of it within thirty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Food and Civil Supplies Department, Government of Karnataka.
