STANDING ORDER

To

All Inspectors,

Subject: The sale of drugs by licensees under the Tamil Nadu Private Clinical Establishments (Regulation) Act, 1997, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Tamil Nadu Private Clinical Establishments (Regulation) Act, 1997 (Tamil Nadu Act 4 of 1997), the Health and Family Welfare Department, Government of Tamil Nadu hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the sale of drugs by licensees.

2. The matter has been examined. Every licensee carrying on the sale of drugs shall make an application in Form 20 to the Licensing Authority within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees.

3. The Inspector shall ensure that register is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Licensing Authority within thirty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Health and Family Welfare Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
