STANDING ORDER

To

All Tahsildars,

Subject: The holding of land by holders of land under the Goa, Daman and Diu Agricultural Tenancy Act, 1964, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Goa, Daman and Diu Agricultural Tenancy Act, 1964 (Goa Act 7 of 1964), the Agriculture Department, Government of Goa hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the holding of land by holders of land.

2. The matter has been examined. Every holder of land carrying on the holding of land shall make an application in Form 12 to the State Government within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.

3. The Tahsildar shall ensure that mutation is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the State Government within thirty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Agriculture Department, Government of Goa.
