STANDING ORDER

To

All Chief Commissioners,

Subject: The employment of persons with disabilities by establishments employing persons with disabilities under the Karnataka Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Reservation of Seats in Educational Institutions and of Appointments or Posts) Act, 2018, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Karnataka Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Reservation of Seats in Educational Institutions and of Appointments or Posts) Act, 2018 (Karnataka Act 2 of 2018), the Consumer Affairs Department, Government of Karnataka hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the employment of persons with disabilities by establishments employing persons with disabilities.

2. The matter has been examined. Every establishment employing persons with disabilities carrying on the employment of persons with disabilities shall make an application in Form IV to the Chief Commissioner within ninety days, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees.

3. The Chief Commissioner shall ensure that contract is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Chief Commissioner within ninety days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Consumer Affairs Department, Government of Karnataka.
