New Delhi, dated the 14th March, 2019

STANDING ORDER

To

All Excise Officers,

Subject: Dealing in excisable articles by dealers under the Delhi Excise Act, 2009, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Delhi Excise Act, 2009 (Delhi Act 10 of 2009), the Housing Department, Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to dealing in excisable articles by dealers.

2. The matter has been examined. Every dealer carrying on dealing in excisable articles shall make an application in Form C to the Commissioner within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.

3. The Excise Officer shall ensure that permit is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Commissioner within sixty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Housing Department, Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi.
