OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The drawing of water from a river by riparian owners under the Andhra Pradesh Water, Land and Trees Act, 2002, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Finance Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh on the manner in which the drawing of water from a river by riparian owners is to be regulated under the Andhra Pradesh Water, Land and Trees Act, 2002.

2. The matter has been examined. Every riparian owner carrying on the drawing of water from a river shall make an application in Form A to the Board within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of five thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the drawing of water from a river is undertaken, and the Board shall dispose of it within sixty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Finance Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh.
