OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The hearing of appeals by appellate authorities under the Uttar Pradesh Lokayukta and Upa-Lokayuktas Act, 1975, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Consumer Affairs Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh on the manner in which the hearing of appeals by appellate authorities is to be regulated under the Uttar Pradesh Lokayukta and Upa-Lokayuktas Act, 1975.

2. The matter has been examined. Every appellate authority carrying on the hearing of appeals shall make an application in Form A to the Government of Uttar Pradesh within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the hearing of appeals is undertaken, and the Government of Uttar Pradesh shall dispose of it within forty-five days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Consumer Affairs Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh.
