OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: Membership of a society by members under the Tamil Nadu Agricultural Produce Marketing (Regulation) Act, 1987, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Agriculture Department, Government of Tamil Nadu on the manner in which membership of a society by members is to be regulated under the Tamil Nadu Agricultural Produce Marketing (Regulation) Act, 1987.

2. The matter has been examined. Every member carrying on membership of a society shall make an application in Form A to the Board within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which membership of a society is undertaken, and the Board shall dispose of it within thirty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Agriculture Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
