OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The ownership of a building by owners of a building under the Maharashtra Regional and Town Planning Act, 1966, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Transport Department, Government of Maharashtra on the manner in which the ownership of a building by owners of a building is to be regulated under the Maharashtra Regional and Town Planning Act, 1966.

2. The matter has been examined. Every owner of a building carrying on the ownership of a building shall make an application in Form B to the Standing Committee within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of ten thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the ownership of a building is undertaken, and the Standing Committee shall dispose of it within sixty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Transport Department, Government of Maharashtra.
