OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The placement of domestic workers by placement agencies under the Goa Children's Act, 2003, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Consumer Affairs Department, Government of Goa on the manner in which the placement of domestic workers by placement agencies is to be regulated under the Goa Children's Act, 2003.

2. The matter has been examined. Every placement agency carrying on the placement of domestic workers shall make an application in Form I to the Commission within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the placement of domestic workers is undertaken, and the Commission shall dispose of it within thirty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Consumer Affairs Department, Government of Goa.
