STANDING ORDER

To

All Tahsildars,

Subject: The occupation of land by occupants under the Bihar Land Reforms Act, 1950, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Bihar Land Reforms Act, 1950 (Bihar Act 30 of 1950), the Youth Services and Sports Department, Government of Bihar hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the occupation of land by occupants.

2. The matter has been examined. Every occupant carrying on the occupation of land shall make an application in Form 12 to the State Government within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.

3. The Tahsildar shall ensure that land is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the State Government within sixty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Youth Services and Sports Department, Government of Bihar.
