STANDING ORDER

To

All Tahsildars,

Subject: The holding of land by landholders under the Odisha Land Reforms Act, 1960, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Odisha Land Reforms Act, 1960 (Odisha Act 16 of 1960), the Home Department, Government of Odisha hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the holding of land by landholders.

2. The matter has been examined. Every landholder carrying on the holding of land shall make an application in Form 12 to the Tahsildar within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of ten rupees.

3. The Tahsildar shall ensure that holding is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Tahsildar within thirty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Home Department, Government of Odisha.
