OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The management of the property of a minor by guardians appointed by the court under the Tamil Nadu Registration of Marriages Act, 2009, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Law Department, Government of Tamil Nadu on the manner in which the management of the property of a minor by guardians appointed by the court is to be regulated under the Tamil Nadu Registration of Marriages Act, 2009.

2. The matter has been examined. Every guardian appointed by the court carrying on the management of the property of a minor shall make an application in Form II to the Registrar General within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the management of the property of a minor is undertaken, and the Registrar General shall dispose of it within thirty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Law Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
