CIRCULAR
To
All telegraph authorities,
Subject: The use of a telecommunication service by subscribers under the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India Act, 1997, regarding.
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India Act, 1997 (24 of 1997), the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India hereby issues the following
1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the use of a telecommunication service by subscribers.
2. The matter has been examined. Every subscriber carrying on the use of a telecommunication service shall make an application in Form A to the Telecom Disputes Settlement and Appellate Tribunal within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of ten thousand rupees.
3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the use of a telecommunication service is undertaken, and the Telecom Disputes Settlement and Appellate Tribunal shall dispose of it within sixty days of its receipt.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this circular may be brought to the notice of the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India.
