OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The employment of persons with disabilities by establishments employing persons with disabilities under the Tamil Nadu Backward Classes, Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Reservation of Seats) Act, 1994, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Social Welfare Department, Government of Tamil Nadu on the manner in which the employment of persons with disabilities by establishments employing persons with disabilities is to be regulated under the Tamil Nadu Backward Classes, Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Reservation of Seats) Act, 1994.

2. The matter has been examined. Every establishment employing persons with disabilities carrying on the employment of persons with disabilities shall make an application in Form II to the Government of Tamil Nadu within ninety days, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the employment of persons with disabilities is undertaken, and the Government of Tamil Nadu shall dispose of it within ninety days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Social Welfare Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
