OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The giving of private tuition by private tutors under the Gujarat Private Universities Act, 2009, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Finance Department, Government of Gujarat on the manner in which the giving of private tuition by private tutors is to be regulated under the Gujarat Private Universities Act, 2009.

2. The matter has been examined. Every private tutor carrying on the giving of private tuition shall make an application in Form C to the Government of Gujarat within ninety days, accompanied by a fee of fifty thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the giving of private tuition is undertaken, and the Government of Gujarat shall dispose of it within ninety days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Finance Department, Government of Gujarat.
