OFFICE MEMORANDUM
Subject: The possession of land by persons in possession of land under the Puducherry Land Reforms (Fixation of Ceiling on Land) Act, 1973, regarding.
1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Finance Department, Government of Puducherry on the manner in which the possession of land by persons in possession of land is to be regulated under the Puducherry Land Reforms (Fixation of Ceiling on Land) Act, 1973.
2. The matter has been examined. Every person in possession of land carrying on the possession of land shall make an application in Form 1 to the Collector within ninety days, accompanied by a fee of ten rupees.
3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the possession of land is undertaken, and the Collector shall dispose of it within ninety days of its receipt.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Finance Department, Government of Puducherry.
