STANDING ORDER

All commanding officers,

Subject: The running of a canteen by holders of a canteen licence under the Uttar Pradesh Gangsters and Anti-Social Activities (Prevention) Act, 1986, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Uttar Pradesh Gangsters and Anti-Social Activities (Prevention) Act, 1986 (Uttar Pradesh Act 7 of 1986), the Home Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the running of a canteen by holders of a canteen licence.

2. The matter has been examined. Every holder of a canteen licence carrying on the running of a canteen shall make an application in Form A to the Cantonment Board within seven days, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees.

3. The commanding officer shall ensure that register is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Cantonment Board within seven days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Home Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh.
