Chennai, dated the 5th April, 2013

RESOLUTION

Subject: The carrying on of a trade by persons carrying on a trade within the municipal limits under the Chennai City Municipal Corporation Act, 1919, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Municipal Commissioner, the Greater Chennai Corporation, after careful examination, hereby resolves that every person carrying on a trade within the municipal limits carrying on the carrying on of a trade shall furnish Form B to the Corporation within fifteen days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every person carrying on a trade within the municipal limits carrying on the carrying on of a trade shall make an application in Form B to the Corporation within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the carrying on of a trade is undertaken, and the Corporation shall dispose of it within fifteen days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this resolution may be brought to the notice of the Greater Chennai Corporation.
