PRESS NOTE

Subject: The import of goods by importers under the Export-Import Bank of India Act, 1981, regarding.

1. The Central Government has reviewed the policy on the import of goods and has decided as follows.

2. Every importer carrying on the import of goods may do so subject to the conditions set out in the annexure, and the Development Commissioner shall be informed in Form ANF-3A within thirty days.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the import of goods is undertaken, and the Development Commissioner shall dispose of it within thirty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this press note may be brought to the notice of the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade.
