STANDING ORDER

To

All Excise Officers,

Subject: The sale of excisable articles by licensees under the Uttar Pradesh Excise Act, 1910, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Uttar Pradesh Excise Act, 1910 (Uttar Pradesh Act 4 of 1910), the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the sale of excisable articles by licensees.

2. The matter has been examined. Every licensee carrying on the sale of excisable articles shall make an application in Form B to the Commissioner within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of fifty thousand rupees.

3. The Excise Officer shall ensure that licence is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Commissioner within thirty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh.
