OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The translation of documents for the court by translators empanelled by the court under the Bombay Court Fees Act, 1959, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Law Department, Government of Maharashtra on the manner in which the translation of documents for the court by translators empanelled by the court is to be regulated under the Bombay Court Fees Act, 1959.

2. The matter has been examined. Every translator empanelled by the court carrying on the translation of documents for the court shall make an application in Form A to the High Court within ninety days, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the translation of documents for the court is undertaken, and the High Court shall dispose of it within ninety days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Law Department, Government of Maharashtra.
