STANDING ORDER

All Protection Officers,

Subject: The running of a child care institution by child care institutions under the Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Harassment of Woman Act, 2002, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Harassment of Woman Act, 2002 (Tamil Nadu Act 44 of 2002), the Women and Child Development Department, Government of Tamil Nadu hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the running of a child care institution by child care institutions.

2. The matter has been examined. Every child care institution carrying on the running of a child care institution shall make an application in Form I to the Commission within seven days, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees.

3. The Protection Officer shall ensure that register is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Commission within seven days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Women and Child Development Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
