STANDING ORDER

To

All District Collectors,

Subject: The storage of relief materials by suppliers of relief materials under the Maharashtra Fire Prevention and Life Safety Measures Act, 2007, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Maharashtra Fire Prevention and Life Safety Measures Act, 2007 (Maharashtra Act 3 of 2007), the Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Government of Maharashtra hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the storage of relief materials by suppliers of relief materials.

2. The matter has been examined. Every supplier of relief materials carrying on the storage of relief materials shall make an application in Form B to the National Authority within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees.

3. The District Collector shall ensure that plan is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the National Authority within thirty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Government of Maharashtra.
