Subject: The use of a telecommunication service by subscribers under the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India Act, 1997, regarding.
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India Act, 1997 (24 of 1997), the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India hereby directs
1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the use of a telecommunication service by subscribers.
2. The matter has been examined. Every subscriber carrying on the use of a telecommunication service shall make an application in Form C to the Telecom Disputes Settlement and Appellate Tribunal within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of ten thousand rupees.
3. The telegraph authority shall ensure that network is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Telecom Disputes Settlement and Appellate Tribunal within fifteen days.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this direction may be brought to the notice of the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India.
