STANDING ORDER

To

All commanding officers,

Subject: The supply of stores by contractors supplying stores to the Force under the Maharashtra Police Act, 1951, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Maharashtra Police Act, 1951 (Maharashtra Act 22 of 1951), the Home Department, Government of Maharashtra hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the supply of stores by contractors supplying stores to the Force.

2. The matter has been examined. Every contractor supplying stores to the Force carrying on the supply of stores shall make an application in Form A to the Director-General within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees.

3. The commanding officer shall ensure that building is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Director-General within sixty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Home Department, Government of Maharashtra.
