OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The purchase of an apartment by allottees under the Karnataka Slum Areas (Improvement and Clearance) Act, 1973, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Housing Department, Government of Karnataka on the manner in which the purchase of an apartment by allottees is to be regulated under the Karnataka Slum Areas (Improvement and Clearance) Act, 1973.

2. The matter has been examined. Every allottee carrying on the purchase of an apartment shall make an application in Form C to the Rent Controller within ninety days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the purchase of an apartment is undertaken, and the Rent Controller shall dispose of it within ninety days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Housing Department, Government of Karnataka.
