OFFICE MEMORANDUM
Subject: The use of a transport vehicle by permit holders under the Tamil Nadu Motor Vehicles Taxation Act, 1974, regarding.
1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the General Administration Department, Government of Tamil Nadu on the manner in which the use of a transport vehicle by permit holders is to be regulated under the Tamil Nadu Motor Vehicles Taxation Act, 1974.
2. The matter has been examined. Every permit holder carrying on the use of a transport vehicle shall make an application in Form 20 to the Government of Tamil Nadu within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of five thousand rupees.
3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the use of a transport vehicle is undertaken, and the Government of Tamil Nadu shall dispose of it within sixty days of its receipt.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the General Administration Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
