STANDING ORDER

To

All Rent Controllers,

Subject: The purchase of an apartment by allottees under the Uttar Pradesh Urban Buildings (Regulation of Letting, Rent and Eviction) Act, 1972, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Uttar Pradesh Urban Buildings (Regulation of Letting, Rent and Eviction) Act, 1972 (Uttar Pradesh Act 13 of 1972), the Social Welfare Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the purchase of an apartment by allottees.

2. The matter has been examined. Every allottee carrying on the purchase of an apartment shall make an application in Form C to the Appellate Tribunal within ninety days, accompanied by a fee of fifty thousand rupees.

3. The Rent Controller shall ensure that agreement for sale is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Appellate Tribunal within ninety days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Social Welfare Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh.
