STANDING ORDER

To

All District Collectors,

Subject: The construction of buildings in a vulnerable area by owners of a building in a vulnerable area under the Karnataka Fire Force Act, 1964, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Karnataka Fire Force Act, 1964 (Karnataka Act 28 of 1964), the Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Government of Karnataka hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the construction of buildings in a vulnerable area by owners of a building in a vulnerable area.

2. The matter has been examined. Every owner of a building in a vulnerable area carrying on the construction of buildings in a vulnerable area shall make an application in Form C to the State Authority within twenty-four hours, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees.

3. The District Collector shall ensure that stock is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the State Authority within twenty-four hours.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Government of Karnataka.
