STANDING ORDER

All Secretaries,

Subject: The running of an establishment by registered establishments under the Maharashtra Official Languages Act, 1965, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Maharashtra Official Languages Act, 1965 (Maharashtra Act 5 of 1965), the General Administration Department, Government of Maharashtra hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the running of an establishment by registered establishments.

2. The matter has been examined. Every registered establishment carrying on the running of an establishment shall make an application in Form B to the Appellate Authority within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees.

3. The Secretary shall ensure that premises is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Appellate Authority within sixty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the General Administration Department, Government of Maharashtra.
