STANDING ORDER

To

All District Collectors,

Subject: The holding of a mass gathering by organisers of a mass gathering under the Tamil Nadu Fire Service Act, 1985, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Tamil Nadu Fire Service Act, 1985 (Tamil Nadu Act 11 of 1985), the Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Government of Tamil Nadu hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the holding of a mass gathering by organisers of a mass gathering.

2. The matter has been examined. Every organiser of a mass gathering carrying on the holding of a mass gathering shall make an application in Form C to the National Authority within twenty-four hours, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees.

3. The District Collector shall ensure that warning is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the National Authority within twenty-four hours.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
