OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The business of a co-operative society by co-operative societies under the Punjab Agricultural Produce Markets Act, 1961, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Government of Punjab on the manner in which the business of a co-operative society by co-operative societies is to be regulated under the Punjab Agricultural Produce Markets Act, 1961.

2. The matter has been examined. Every co-operative society carrying on the business of a co-operative society shall make an application in Form B to the Government of Punjab within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the business of a co-operative society is undertaken, and the Government of Punjab shall dispose of it within fifteen days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Government of Punjab.
