STANDING ORDER

To

All Rent Controllers,

Subject: The development of a real estate project by promoters under the Maharashtra Ownership Flats (Regulation of the Promotion of Construction, Sale, Management and Transfer) Act, 1963, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Maharashtra Ownership Flats (Regulation of the Promotion of Construction, Sale, Management and Transfer) Act, 1963 (Maharashtra Act 45 of 1963), the Housing Department, Government of Maharashtra hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the development of a real estate project by promoters.

2. The matter has been examined. Every promoter carrying on the development of a real estate project shall make an application in Form A to the Rent Controller within ninety days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.

3. The Rent Controller shall ensure that project is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Rent Controller within ninety days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Housing Department, Government of Maharashtra.
