OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The transit of forest produce by owners of forest produce under the Tamil Nadu Forest Act, 1882, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of Tamil Nadu on the manner in which the transit of forest produce by owners of forest produce is to be regulated under the Tamil Nadu Forest Act, 1882.

2. The matter has been examined. Every owner of forest produce carrying on the transit of forest produce shall make an application in Form I to the Central Board within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the transit of forest produce is undertaken, and the Central Board shall dispose of it within fifteen days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
