OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The practice of medicine by registered medical practitioners under the Maharashtra Nursing Homes Registration Act, 1949, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Finance Department, Government of Maharashtra on the manner in which the practice of medicine by registered medical practitioners is to be regulated under the Maharashtra Nursing Homes Registration Act, 1949.

2. The matter has been examined. Every registered medical practitioner carrying on the practice of medicine shall make an application in Form 28 to the Licensing Authority within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of ten thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the practice of medicine is undertaken, and the Licensing Authority shall dispose of it within fifteen days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Finance Department, Government of Maharashtra.
