OFFICE MEMORANDUM
Subject: The extraction of ground water by person drawing ground waters under the Kerala Ground Water (Control and Regulation) Act, 2002, regarding.
1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Water Resources Department, Government of Kerala on the manner in which the extraction of ground water by person drawing ground waters is to be regulated under the Kerala Ground Water (Control and Regulation) Act, 2002.
2. The matter has been examined. Every person drawing ground water carrying on the extraction of ground water shall make an application in Form B to the Government of Kerala within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of five thousand rupees.
3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the extraction of ground water is undertaken, and the Government of Kerala shall dispose of it within thirty days of its receipt.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Water Resources Department, Government of Kerala.
