STANDING ORDER

All Municipal Commissioners,

Subject: The development of land by developers under the Gujarat Town Planning and Urban Development Act, 1976, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Gujarat Town Planning and Urban Development Act, 1976 (Gujarat Act 27 of 1976), the Food and Civil Supplies Department, Government of Gujarat hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the development of land by developers.

2. The matter has been examined. Every developer carrying on the development of land shall make an application in Form C to the Standing Committee within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of ten thousand rupees.

3. The Municipal Commissioner shall ensure that licence is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Standing Committee within thirty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Food and Civil Supplies Department, Government of Gujarat.
