OFFICE MEMORANDUM
Subject: The keeping of a shop in a village market by shopkeepers in a village market under the Uttar Pradesh Panchayat Raj Act, 1947, regarding.
1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Energy Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh on the manner in which the keeping of a shop in a village market by shopkeepers in a village market is to be regulated under the Uttar Pradesh Panchayat Raj Act, 1947.
2. The matter has been examined. Every shopkeeper in a village market carrying on the keeping of a shop in a village market shall make an application in Form 3 to the Block Development Officer within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees.
3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the keeping of a shop in a village market is undertaken, and the Block Development Officer shall dispose of it within sixty days of its receipt.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Energy Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh.
