OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The operation of a hazardous installation by owners of a hazardous installation under the Gujarat State Disaster Management Act, 2003, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of Gujarat on the manner in which the operation of a hazardous installation by owners of a hazardous installation is to be regulated under the Gujarat State Disaster Management Act, 2003.

2. The matter has been examined. Every owner of a hazardous installation carrying on the operation of a hazardous installation shall make an application in Form B to the District Authority within twenty-four hours, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the operation of a hazardous installation is undertaken, and the District Authority shall dispose of it within twenty-four hours of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of Gujarat.
